Noah's New Obssesion: Basketball

Basketball has finally ended at the YMCA but Noah's new obsession has not. We weren't originally planning to do two sessions, but when the first one ended Noah informed me that I needed to "get up to the Y and sign him up again" :)  He LOVES basketball.  So much that this past weekend Daddy and Pa hung up a hoop in our garage at the appropriate height.  He spent all day out there yesterday "practicing" to get better when Daddy got home from work.  He was literally sweating and dripping wet when I made him come in for lunch.  When he sets his mind to something there's no changing it.  I even asked him if he wanted to play with a friend down the street after nap and he told me "No thanks mom, I need to practice my shots".

Noah's First Live Show:)

Noah attended his first live show tonight: "Disney on Ice".  Just Seth, I and Noah went and we had a great time.  Lane was at home with Nana and thankfully that was in the plans previous as he has croup!  Chicken Fingers and Nachos makes for a great night for our big 3 1/2 year old!  I hate to admit even I really like the show, especailly the "Little Mermaid" portion!  Oh the good old days!

Deep Thoughts by Noah Schaeperkoetter (#1)

In the car this morning on the way to the gym (note: It is snowing today unexpectedly with about 3 inches already on the ground):

Noah "Mommy did you know that snow turns into ice and ice turns into rain... rain makes trees grow and trees turn into wood and wood turns into homes, did you know that mom?"

Me: "No, Noah I didn't know that." Humoring him of course...

Noah: "The earth is cool mom."

Me: "Where did you learn that Noah?"

Noah:  "Mommy I just know all these kind of things."  with a huge grin on his face!

Lane's not vain, he just likes himself, ALOT!

Lane has discovered our full length mirror and he is newly in love with himself.  Every time he goes by our guest room he speeds over to the mirror and just looks at himself and laughs.  It is hysterical.  He would stay in there for hours if I let him just looking at himself, over and over and over again.
